Alcor is seeking a Senior Developer responsible for building and modernizing a custom J2EE Identity Management application, that will be utilized by 40k+ federal employees and contractors. The candidates primary focus will be the development of a custom UI, it’s server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of a centralized database. The developer’s work must ensure high performance, security, and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The candidate is primarily responsible for integrating the front-end UI built by the team into the application. Understanding of Angular 12 and CSS/SCCSS front-end technologies is required. The candidate will work within an agile development team and will be responsible for development work and achieving sprint and PI goals.
 
Applicants must be eligible to work on federal government contracts and pass a background check.  Applicants are required to have been in the US for 3+ years to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design and development including Angular 12, Spring MVC, JSPs and Servlets, Web components, services and framework.
• Collaborate with the entire Agile Release train to understand the customer and provide a user-centric product
• Design and implement Web components and suggest best solutions in J2EE architecture based on the business, data and functional requirements.
• Deployment and integration testing of developed components in all environments.
• Responsible for built-in quality and initial accessibility
• Partner directly with other developers, architects, clients, other technical team members and administrators to design and develop high performing and maintain consistent development functions.
• Ensure solution designs address performance requirements, reusability, availability, integrity, security challenges, and business functional requirements.
• Performance tune packages and solutions to improve the overall execution time.
• Write user stories, enablers and estimate work level of effort.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise for product deliverables
• Provide continuous feedback to product management regarding user stories, acceptance criteria and story point estimation
• Create detailed designs for implementations of user stories
• Collaborate with team members about their designs and solutions

  Skills and Qualifications 

• 6+ year’s experience and proficiency in modern languages .
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Familiar with implementation, design and deployment of Docker and Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience in JAVA/J2EE, JBOSS technologies including design, coding, performance tuning, testing, maintenance and support of software applications.
• Experience in full cycle (SDLC) development projects.
• Exceptional written and oral communication and analytical skills.

• Experience in developing & deploying applications using Struts framework, Spring framework v3.x/4.x, Web services / SOA, JPA and Hibernate v2.x/4.x.
• Expertise in application development using Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, JNDI, JDBC, Servlets, JAXP, Java Beans, JDBC, JMS, Java Mail, LDAP, XML, XSLT, AJAX, Applets, JavaScript, HTML and DHTML.
• Experience developing graphical user interfaces using AWT, JFC (Swing), HTML5, DOJO, CSS3, SCSS, AngularJS, and leveraging libraries such as JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
• Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server and Postgres in cloud and on-prem.
