Job Description:
The Capture and Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the capture efforts for new business opportunities, managing the entire capture process from initial identification through proposal submission. This role involves developing and executing strategies to secure new contracts and increase the company’s market share, particularly within targeted sectors such as federal, state, and local government, or specific industries depending on the company's focus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Opportunity Identification:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationships with key stakeholders.
- Analyze request for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other relevant documents to determine the potential for successful bids.
2. Capture Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement capture strategies for targeted opportunities to maximize the company’s chances of winning.
- Coordinate with business development, technical, and operational teams to formulate and refine win strategies.
3. Proposal Management:
- Assist in proposal development , working closely with the proposal manager.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Engage with existing clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional business.
5. Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of competitors and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Use competitive intelligence to inform proposal content and strategy.
6. Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners to finalize contract terms and secure agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, CPP) preferred.
- Minimum experience of 5-10 years of experience in business development, capture management, or related fields, with a proven track record of successful contract wins.
