Test and Evaluation Lead

Job Summary:
Alcor Technical Solutions is looking for an experienced Test and Evaluation Lead with 12+ years of experience to oversee and manage test planning, execution, and evaluation of systems and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test methodologies, quality assurance, and performance analysis, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test and evaluation strategies, plans, and procedures for complex systems.
  • Oversee the full testing lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Lead a team of test engineers and analysts to ensure efficient test execution and evaluation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and failure analysis to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
  • Implement automated and manual testing techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Document and report test results, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvements.
  • Support system validation, verification, and certification processes.
  • Utilize test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, HP ALM, or similar) for tracking test cases and defects.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in test and evaluation, quality assurance, or system validation.
  • Expertise in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, verification & validation (V&V), and quality control.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools, scripting languages, and test frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional testing teams.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., ISO, CMMI, DO-178C, MIL-STD, or FDA regulations, depending on industry).
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, PMP, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience working with government contracts, military systems, or large-scale IT projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity testing, penetration testing, and system security evaluation.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
